Choosing the right balanced armature receiver supplier is one of the highest-leverage decisions in an audio product program — the receiver determines the sound, the fit and the consistency of every unit you ship. Here is the checklist we recommend importers use before placing their first order.
1. Engineering capability
Ask how the supplier handles specification review. A strong partner will confirm whether a standard model fits your target frequency response and impedance, and explain what custom tuning is possible — before you commit.
2. Quality evidence
Look beyond marketing claims. Ask how receivers are produced and tested — cleanroom production, an acoustic testing laboratory, and 100% testing before shipment are concrete signals. Official datasheets per model are the minimum you should receive.
3. Communication
Time zone overlap and response time matter. A supplier who answers technical questions in 24 hours will save you weeks over the life of a project — and will confirm schedules and sample terms in writing.
4. IP protection
Confirm that your target specifications and design files are handled confidentially. Signing an NDA and checking how files are stored is cheap insurance.
5. Start small
Order samples first. Measure them in your design, compare them against the datasheet, and evaluate the supplier’s communication — the things no brochure can promise.
